🧭 Overview
Newer model PNP-3000 series devices (i.e., PNP-3300 and PNP-3301) no longer support internal buzzer capabilities. This change affects users who rely on the buzzer for in-cab notifications or Driver ID prompts.
📣 What This Means
If your drivers use Bluetooth BLE Keyfobs for Driver ID, they will no longer hear the buzzer prompt to log in. To help maintain consistent driver logins, we recommend enabling the Driver Login Alert within your portal as a coaching tool.
⚙️ Recommended Options
Depending on your fleet’s setup, here are a few options to consider:
If you use both Keyfobs and the internal buzzer:
Upgrade to a GPSI-5000 series device, which continues to support these features.
If Driver ID isn’t required but you want in-cab alerts (e.g., Hard Acceleration or Hard Braking):
The XT25 device is a great alternative for capturing driver feedback events.
