Using Public Map Links

This article provides step-by-step instructions on using Public Map Links.

Updated over a month ago

The Public Map Links feature allows you to create a URL link to view vehicle locations on a map for a specific vehicle group. This enables external visibility of limited vehicle location data, allowing your customers to view real-time positions without requiring a login to the portal.

Additionally, you can include a Landmark Group to be shared along with the vehicle group’s locations.

Customers can interact with the Public Map by viewing vehicle lists, centering on selected vehicles, adjusting map style and trail overlays, and using standard map controls such as zoom, pan, fullscreen, and Street View.

A Vehicle Status legend is available to provide at-a-glance insight into each vehicle’s status on the map.

Note: These external maps are publicly facing. They do not require being an authenticated user to see vehicle locations. Customers should be aware that any vehicle locations shared with this tool will be visible to anyone, and we will not be held responsible for any issues that may arise from sharing potentially sensitive information.
