If your fleet is running ELD Complete on an MDT, Connect I, or Connect II tablet, there's something important you need to know — and it's time to act before it affects your drivers on the road.
What's changing
Support for these three tablet models officially ended on April 13, 2026. Right now, your devices are still working, but a mandatory update arriving in June 2026 will block ELD functionality on all affected hardware. This isn't something that can be fixed with a software patch — these devices simply can't run the version of ELD Complete needed to stay compliant.
What drivers will experience after June
When the update rolls out, drivers on affected devices will see an in-app message prompting them to update. That update won't be available for their device in the Google Play Store, which means they won't be able to log in, record duty status changes, or sync logs. The app itself won't crash or uninstall, and any logs already stored on the device will stay intact — they can be transferred once the driver has a supported device.
Why this matters for compliance
FMCSA and CCMTA regulations require drivers to maintain compliant ELD software and be able to present logs during a roadside inspection. Once June enforcement begins, drivers on affected devices won't be able to meet those requirements. That could mean being placed out of service during an inspection, citations, or violations flagged during an audit.
What you can do now
You have two straightforward options, and we'd encourage you to start the transition well before June:
1️⃣ Option 1 — Switch to BYOD (Bring Your Own Device). Drivers can use a personal or company-provided Android or iOS phone or tablet to run ELD Complete. It's a cost-effective way to avoid purchasing new dedicated hardware and get your fleet back on solid footing quickly.

2️⃣ Option 2 — Replace with a supported tablet. Our ELD team can help you identify compatible replacement options and talk through pricing.
