Negative Battery Disconnect – False Ignition On

This article provides information to solve false ignition messages triggered by a negative battery disconnect switch.

Updated over 2 years ago

This diagram is meant to solve for false ignition messages triggered by a negative (Ground) battery disconnect switch. When the chassis is disconnected from the negative terminal at the battery, the chassis becomes positive. Most ignition wires rest at negative, but when the chassis is positive, they rest at positive. This is what causes the false ignition trigger.
