About AIR II

Learn how to view AIR II data from the GPS Fleet Tracking Portal.

Updated over a month ago

The AIR II camera captures driving behavior, GPS tracking data, and video footage to help improve safety and visibility. Features vary depending on your Fleet All-in-One (FAIO) plan.

When the AIR II camera is triggered, the driver receives an in-cab audio alert, and video footage is recorded automatically.

Flagging False Triggers

Since AI continuously learns and improves, some events may occasionally be triggered in error. If you encounter a video clip that appears to be a false trigger, you can easily flag and report it directly from the video player.

When you are playing a video from the Camera Media Library, click the down arrow next to the event type and then click Report clip as false trigger.

A pop-up will appear in the top-right corner of the screen, confirming that the clip was reported successfully.

Live View

  1. Locate the vehicle for which you would like to see live view from the Vehicles list or use the filters or search features and click on the vehicle entry.

The Vehicle Card for the applicable vehicle opens on the right-hand side of the screen.

  2. From the Vehicle Card on the Map Page, scroll to the Camera Live View section of the Overview tab.

  3. Click + Start Live View.

    The Live View pop-up appears.

Note: The view provides a photo-like frame stream that updates every 3-5 seconds, so you may see a “Waiting for image…” message immediately after the pop-up opens until a frame is available.

The view updates every 3-5 seconds until the timer runs out (30 seconds). The timer is displayed at the top-right side of the pop-up.

  4. After 30 seconds, you can click Refresh Feed to start the timer again and continue the Live View, or you can close the window by clicking X at the top-right corner of the pop-up.

Viewing a Camera Event

Triggered events are automatically recorded. You can view a camera event from the following locations in the Portal:

Note: If you have Fleet All-in-One (FAIO) Pro Plus, all recorded events are automatically uploaded to the Portal and are ready for viewing without needing to request the video from the device first.

For the purposes of this article, step-by-step instructions for viewing a camera event from the Vehicle Card on the Map page are provided below. You can also use the links above to access step-by-step instructions for viewing camera events from other locations.

How to View a Camera Event

  1. From the Vehicle Card on the Map Page, scroll to the Camera Clips section of the Overview tab.

  2. (Skip this step if you have FAIO Pro Plus) Click Request Clip next to the camera event you would like to request.

A request is sent to the camera to transmit the video. Once the video is available, the icon is updated to a Play icon.

  3. Click the Play icon for the clip you would like to view.

A pop-up window opens, and the event playback automatically starts.

  4. Click the Full Screen icon to view the video in Full View. The following actions are also available:

    • Unmute: Unmute the video (muted by default) to hear audio.

    • Playback Rate: Change the playback speed (1x, available).

    • Pause: Stop the video during playback.

Note: Within Full View mode (not Split View), you can click and drag in the video to see different angles.

Managing Camera Clips

You can rename and/or download clips from the Vehicle Card and Camera Media page. Additionally, you can request more media from a clip to initiate a Manual Clip Request.

  1. Locate the vehicle for which you would like to manage camera clips and scroll to the Camera Clips section of the Overview tab.

  2. From the Clip panel, locate the clip you would like to manage and click the Overflow button to access additional options:

    • Rename

      • Enter a new name for the clip and click Save.

    • Download

      • Click the Overflow button from the Fullscreen video playback, then click Download.

    • Request More Media

      • Complete the available fields in the Request Media pop-up, then click Request Media.

Manual Clip Requests

You can submit a manual request to retrieve a video clip for an incident that did not trigger an automatic event recording.

How to Create a Manual Clip Request

  1. From the Vehicle Card, click Manual request next to Camera clips.

The Request Media pop-up appears. In the bottom-left corner, the pop-up displays your current clip quota, allowing you to quickly view your available clips at a glance.

Note: Requested manual clips count toward your account quota.

  2. Use the drop-down under “Vehicle” to select the applicable vehicle.

  3. (Optional) Enter a name for the clip under “Clip Name.”

  4. Under “Start Date”, select a date using the calendar picker.

  5. Under “Start Time”, use the time picker to select a time or click Now.

  6. Use the drop-down under Duration to select the clip duration (30 seconds or 1 minute).

Note: A 30-second clip counts as 1 clip toward your quota; whereas a 1-minute clip counts as 2 clips toward your quota.

  7. Click Request Media.

A message is shown toward the top-right of the screen to confirm the clip was requested successfully.

After a clip request is submitted, it may take some time for the video to appear in the Manual Requests section of the Vehicle Card while the Portal updates and the camera responds.

Requested clips remain available in the GPS Fleet Tracking Portal for 90 days from the original request date. Media is stored based on available capacity, and older files may be overwritten when the SD card becomes full.
