About AIR II

Learn how to view AIR II data from the GPS Fleet Tracking Portal.

Requesting Camera Events

You can request a camera event from multiple locations in the Portal: Map Page – Vehicle Card, Camera Media Page, and Admin: Cameras tab. Please use the links below to view instructional documentation on requesting camera events from these locations:

For the purposes of this article, we are providing instructions on requesting camera events from a vehicle’s Vehicle Card from the Map Page of the Portal. Camera Events from the last 30 calendar days are available from the Camera Events section of the Vehicle Card’s Overview tab.

How to Request a Camera Event

  1. From the Camera Events section, click Request Clip next to the camera event you would like to request.

A request is sent to the camera to transmit the video. Once the video is available, the icon is updated to a Play icon.

Note: The time it takes to download is impacted by whether the vehicle is on or off (vehicle must be in ON status to send the video).

  2. Click the Play icon.

Note: Any camera events that take place during nighttime are recorded with night vision; thus, the recording will be in black and white.

Manual Clip Request

From the Vehicle Card, you can use the Manual request button and Manual requests section to request and view clips generated with a custom timeframe.

How to create a manual clip request

  1. From the Vehicle Card, click Manual request next to Camera clips.

The Request video clip pop-up appears. The pop-up provides you with your current clip quota in the header for easy, at-a-glance data consumption.

Note: Requested manual clips count toward your account quota.

  2. Use the data and time selectors to enter the date and time of the clip you would like to manually request.

  3. Use the drop-down next to Duration, to select the time duration of the requested clip (30 seconds or 1 minute).

Note: A 30-second clip counts as 1 clip toward your quota; whereas, a 1-minute clip counts as 2 clips toward your quota.

  4. Click Request Clip.

A message is shown toward the top-right of the screen to confirm the clip was requested successfully. Once you have requested a clip, it may take some time for the video to appear under the Manual requests section of the Vehicle Card. The requested clip is available in the GPS Fleet Tracking Portal for 90 days from the original date of request.

Downloading a Clip for Local Storage

You can download a clip, event-based or manually requested, for local storage on your computer (not available for other smart devices) by clicking the Download icon while viewing a clip in the Portal from the Camera Media Page.

Viewing Your Camera Clip Quota
